What Services Do We Provide?

Carden IT Services have been supporting this financial services firm’s IT systems for over seven years. When we first partnered with them, they were dissatisfied with their previous IT provider and concerned about escalating costs. We were able to offer them a more reliable and cost-effective support solution.

As part of our initial improvements, we migrated their email system to Microsoft 365 and upgraded their outdated Windows 2008 servers. More recently, we transitioned all their data to SharePoint and integrated their devices into Microsoft Azure for secure, cloud-based management.

How Do We Support Their IT?

In August 2020, we assisted with the company’s full IT infrastructure migration during their office relocation. With their server already hosted in the cloud, their staff were able to continue working remotely throughout the move without interruption.

Over two days, our engineers decommissioned the existing hardware, transported it to the new premises, and reassembled it in the same configuration. Ahead of the move, we pre-installed additional cabling and network ports to ensure every workstation could be connected efficiently.

We also deployed new Wi-Fi access points to improve signal strength and coverage across the office. To support faster and more reliable connectivity, we implemented a GFast fibre line — a high-speed FTTC solution that doesn’t rely on a PSTN connection, aligning with the UK’s upcoming PSTN switch-off. This ensured ample bandwidth and scalability for future growth.

Once the network was live, our team reinstalled and tested all PCs, connecting them to the new environment. The business was able to resume operations immediately after the move with zero downtime.

In addition to ongoing IT support, we also provide complimentary services to a charitable organisation connected to the client, maintaining their devices and remote desktop server.
