We have all made a big adjustment in the last year. Video conferencing, once uncommon, is now part and parcel of everyday office work, for both us and many of our customers. At Carden IT Services, we are always ready to embrace new technology and so we’re committed to using video calls to their full potential to improve our services and our communication.
Since the start of the lockdown, we have been embracing the potential of Microsoft Teams. We have found that with more of our clients adopting video conferencing as a core part of their communications, Microsoft Teams has enabled us to have more regular catch ups with clients and it as improved our service and delivery. We can present solutions in easier to understand formats and we feel our clients have been more engaged, better informed, and felt more empowered to raise questions around areas that they needed clarifying. Whereas in a face-to-face environment, we sometimes feel a nod and an embarrassment to raise any questions occurs.
As part of this initiative, we will be moving away from annual, in-person client meetings and more towards quarterly business reviews held over Microsoft Teams. We will also be more available for shorter catch-up meetings with all our clients when we can add more value to your businesses IT system.
Compared to in-person meetings, Microsoft Teams meetings allow a larger number of team members to join in and we can easily patch in members of our support and/or cyber-defence teams who would otherwise be unable to attend the entire meeting.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be checking in with each of our clients to see how their business is doing, what has changed since the beginning of lockdown, and if there is anything that we can do to make the technological side simpler, more efficient, or more cost effective for them.
